About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Provision, configure and manage Microsoft Azure infrastructure.
• Configure and manage Azure Databricks environments.
• Configure and manage Microsoft Fabric environments.
• Maintain appropriate separation between development, testing and production environments.
• Implement infrastructure as code using consistent and reusable configuration practices.
• Build and maintain automated build, testing and deployment pipelines for enterprise applications.
• Automate deployment of data pipelines and machine learning workloads.
• Implement version control, release approvals and environment-configuration management.
• Design and maintain reliable rollback procedures.
• Manage cloud identities, roles and access permissions.
• Manage application and platform secrets securely.
• Implement encryption and cloud-network security controls.
• Collaborate with application and artificial intelligence teams to enforce privacy requirements.
• Implement masking of personal identifiers before artificial intelligence model processing.
• Configure centralized monitoring, alerts and production logging.
• Implement backup, restoration and disaster-recovery procedures.
• Investigate and resolve production incidents.
• Optimize application and platform performance.
• Monitor and optimize cloud-resource costs.
• Create and maintain deployment documentation.
• Create and maintain operational runbooks.
• Own production releases and platform reliability.

Must-Have Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of relevant experience in DevOps, cloud engineering and production operations.
• Strong experience managing Microsoft Azure cloud environments.
• Experience configuring or operating Azure Databricks.
• Experience configuring or operating Microsoft Fabric.
• Proficiency with Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
• Experience implementing infrastructure as code using Terraform or Bicep.
• Scripting experience using PowerShell, Python or Bash.
• Experience building automated CI/CD pipelines for applications.
• Experience deploying data pipelines and machine learning workloads.
• Strong knowledge of environment configuration, release approvals and rollback procedures.
• Experience with Azure Monitor.
• Experience with Log Analytics.
• Experience using Azure Key Vault.
• Strong understanding of cloud networking and network-security controls.
• Strong identity and access-management knowledge.
• Experience implementing secure secrets management and encryption.
• Experience implementing production logging, monitoring and alerting.
• Experience with backup and disaster-recovery procedures.
• Demonstrated ownership of production releases and incident resolution.
• Proven experience managing platform reliability, performance and cloud costs.

Good to Have

• Experience supporting enterprise artificial intelligence and machine learning platforms.
• Experience implementing MLOps deployment pipelines.
• Experience supporting Azure Machine Learning and MLflow.
• Experience implementing privacy controls and personal-data masking.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID and managed identities.
• Experience with containerized workloads and Kubernetes.
• Experience implementing Azure Policy and cloud-governance controls.
• Relevant Microsoft Azure, DevOps, Terraform or cloud-security certification.
