We are looking for a GenAI (MCP) Engineer to build Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers and GenAI integrations that connect LLM-based features to internal systems, enabling safe, structured tool use by AI agents and assistants.
About the Role
We are looking for a GenAI (MCP) Engineer to build Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers and GenAI integrations that connect LLM-based features to internal systems, enabling safe, structured tool use by AI agents and assistants.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build MCP servers exposing internal APIs and data as tools for LLM agents.
- Integrate GenAI capabilities (chat, summarization, generation) into the Linkfields platform.
- Ensure secure, permissioned access patterns for AI tool-use.
- Collaborate with the AgenticAI Engineer and backend teams on tool contracts and interfaces.
- Optimize LLM prompt/response pipelines for latency and cost.
- Write documentation and specifications for MCP tools.
Must-Have Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of backend engineering experience, including hands-on GenAI integration work.
- Experience with Model Context Protocol (MCP) or similar tool-calling/function-calling frameworks.
- Strong backend engineering skills (Node.js, Python or Java).
- Experience integrating LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Azure OpenAI or Bedrock).
- Strong API design skills.
Good to Have
- Experience with LangChain or LlamaIndex.
- Experience with vector databases.
- AWS Bedrock experience.
- Prior contribution to MCP server implementations.
